Circulation Customer Service & Sales Advisor Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Circulation Customer Service and Sales Advisor to join our team. This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of a customer service representative and a circulation sales advisor. The ideal candidate will be a team player and be passionate about providing excellent customer service while also driving circulation sales through proactive outreach and relationship building. Reports to the Circulation Office Manager in Kalispell. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person. Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently and professionally. Assist customers with subscription management, including new subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, holds and delivery issues. Maintain accurate customer records and update information as needed using our circulation management system. Provide our customers with information about payment options and what to expect with their newspaper subscription. Politely and constructively listen to our subscribers’ needs, complaints and compliments. Sales: Execute strategies to increase circulation sales and grow subscriber base. These strategies will include in-person events, cold calling, calling of existing client base to upsell and alert them of new products, and correspondence through email. Effectively track and report daily and weekly results from all strategies. Update and maintain call list spreadsheets in real time. Promote special offers, promotions, and new products to current and potential subscribers. Learn about each of our newspapers, subscription options and details of what our subscribers can expect to easily share the best product fit to an existing client or sales lead. Become comfortable with available scripts to support sales efforts. Track objections to subscribing and be prepared to share constructive feedback and suggestions on how to improve the sales process. Set up and host a company booth as scheduled at community events, kiosk opportunities, etc. Administrative: Process subscription orders and payments accurately and promptly using our circulation management system. Support the circulation team with various duties as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in sales, marketing, or customer service is a plus. Proven experience in customer service and/or sales, preferably in the newspaper or media industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills. This position may require occasional evening and weekend work. The role is primarily office-based, with some local travel for sales activities and customer visits. Benefits and Compensation: $16 per hour base wage plus commission structure. FISHERIES BIOLOGIST II DFWRC FISHERIES PROGRAM (DFWRC–Division of Fish, Wildlife, Recreation and Conservation) NATURAL RESOURCES DEPARTMENT – POLSON, MT The Fisheries Biologist II is a technical and skilled professional position, responsible for planning, organizing, and carrying out field and office work related to assessing the fisheries of the Flathead Reservation and identifying factors impacting those fisheries. The successful applicant must have a Master’s of Science degree in Fisheries Biology or related field. Incumbent should have a Professional certification, or eligibility for certification, by the American Fisheries Society. Experience in program planning and management, along with ground and surface water modeling tools in relation to instream flow protection for fisheries is desired. Skill required in operation of electrofishing equipment and other standard fishery sampling and collection gear, in operation of boat motors, small gasoline engines and 4x4 vehicles. May require training and certification in the safe use of SCUBA diving equipment and techniques, electrofishing techniques, and the safe operation of a motor boat. Knowledge of ecological principles, basic statistics, population dynamics, related life sciences, chemistry and physics related to fisheries management, and the principles of fisheries biology. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with private landowners, the public and fellow workers through report writing and planning, public forums, and the news media.
